FYI Several dealers sites have a bad qoute on they're sites The Amsoil WebMaster has been notified of this opps as well, and as of Wed 09/07/2005 7:48 AM has fixed the typo. "(c) No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumer's using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade, or corporate name; except that the prohibition of this subsection may be waived by the Commission if - (1) the warrantor satisfies the Commission that the warranted product will function properly only if the article or service so identified is used in connection with the warranted product, and (2) the Commission finds that such a waiver is in the public interest." (42 U.S.C. 2302(C))" This information is basically correct the problem is that it is not (42 U.S.C. 2302(C)) it is and should be (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) Please see these three sites to confirm this The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) www.enjoythedrive.com/content/?id=8128 www.autosafety.org/article.php?scid=116&did=749 assembler.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode15/usc_sec_15_00002302----000-.html I think the 42 of this "(42 U.S.C. 2302(C))" belongs to Clean Air Act Warranty Provisions (42 U.S.C. S 7541 (C) (3) (B))
